Dharma - tibetisch-buddhistischer Pfad

“When we finally know we are dying, and all other sentient beings are dying with us, we start to have a burning, almost heartbreaking sense of the fragility and preciousness of each moment and each being, and from this can grow a deep, clear, limitless compassion for all beings.”

"We are fragmented into so many different aspects. We don´t know who we really are, or what aspects of ourselves we should identify with or believe in. So many contradictory voices, dictates, and feelings fight for control over our inner lives that we find ourselves scattered everywhere, in all directions, leaving nobody at home.

Meditation, then, is bringing the mind home.”

 - Sogyal Rinpoche

" To protect the mind of another, avoid all conflict and always have patience."

Atisha

"At all times, do not lose courage in your inner awareness; uplift yourself, while assuming a humble position in your outer demeanor. Follow the example of the life and complete liberation of previous accomplished masters (siddha). Do not blame your past karma; instead, be someone who purely and flawlessly practices the dharma. Do not blame temporary negative circumstances; instead, be someone who remains steadfast in the face of whatever circumstances may arise."

– Dudjom Rinpoche

"When you judge another, you do not define them, you define yourself. Perception is not reality. What appear to be faults in others may actually be reflections of our own emotional afflictions. If your mind is pure, everyone is a Buddha. If your mind is impure, everyone is ordinary."
Kyabje Trulshik Rinpoche

"Was immer an Freude ist in dieser Welt, entspringt dem Wunsch, andere glücklich zu sehen.
Was immer an Leid ist in der Welt, entspringt dem Wunsch nur selbst glücklich zu sein."

- Shantideva

"Pride and pity are closely related. Believing that your life is harder and sadder than everyone else’s is simply a manifestation of clinging to self. When the self develops self-pity, it eliminates any space that others have to feel compassionate."

– Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse Rinpoche

Jedes Leben hat ein Maß an Leid. Manchmal bewirkt eben dieses unser Erwachen.

- H.H.Dalai Lama

Die Dinge loszulassen bedeutet nicht, sie loszuwerden. Sie loslassen bedeutet, dass man sie sein lässt.

- Jack Kornfield

Lerab Ling

Lerab Ling is one of the main centres preserving the authentic study and practice of Tibetan of Buddhism in Europe and is under the patronage of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Founded by the Tibetan Buddhist teacher Sogyal Rinpoche, LL is a sanctuary meditation and enlightened activity where the Buddha's teachings and blessing are shared with those who seek a complete path to enlightenment and a refuge from the busyness of everyday life.

"A complete Buddhist Path"

Courses and events offered in Rigpa form part of an in-depth curriculum of study, reflection, practice and retreat based on the graduated stages of the Buddhist path of awakening. The general approach shared in Rigpa is that of Tibetan Buddhism, which brings together all 3 historical vehicles of Buddhism: the Basic Yana, the Mahayana and the Vajrayana. In particular, Rigpa follows the Nyingma lineage and tradition of Dzogchen, or “Great Perfection”—the most ancient and direct stream of wisdom within the Buddhist tradition of Tibet, which reveals the way to realize the innermost nature of mind and can be considered as the zenith of all yanas. The essence of all Buddhist teachings is to arrive at lasting peace and happiness through transforming the mind. The Buddha taught the importance of recognizing the reality of suffering, abandoning its causes and achieving liberation by following the path. In general, the Buddhist path is very flexible. Buddha was renowned for teaching a wide variety of ways to practise, each attuned to the needs of different individuals. At all stages of the path, one can study and practise in great depth, or in a more essential way, the key point being the transformation that actually takes place in one’s being.
